American Insurance Group Clients Dominate 2018 Chamber Small Business Awards
CHATTANOOGA – The 2018 Chattanooga Area Chamber Small Business Awards were announced on February 13, 2018, and The American Insurance Group’s clientele were extremely well-represented. In fact, of the 12 companies nominated as finalists, two of the Agency’s clients were finalists in their respective category, and one came away with the hardware.
First, Manufacturing Repair & Overstock, Inc. took home the grand prize as Chattanooga Area Chamber Small Business of the Year in the 21-44 employee division. MRO was founded by Russell Looper and Justin Wilson in 2012, and has experienced tremendous growth since its inception. MRO specializes in maintaining electronic automation controls, rebuilding, refurbishing, and repairing various types of circuit boards, drives, power supplies, pumps, valves, safety equipment, and more. The company maintains a 36,600-square-foot facility off Amnicola Highway.
Similarly, The Bitter Alibi was a finalist in the 21-44 employee category. The Bitter Alibi was founded in 2016, and is located on Houston Street near the UT-Chattanooga campus. The Bitter Alibi is a modern pub that serves brunch, burgers, craft beer, and cocktails, and which has become wildly popular in just a short time.
Congratulations to all the Chamber Small Business Award finalists, but particularly to MRO, Inc. and The Bitter Alibi! We are so proud of you, and grateful to partner with you.
